Purpose & Accomplishments 

LASCP Purpose

​The Purpose of this Association is to promote the administration of law enforcement in the respective cities in this state through educational and instructional activities. We aim to provide a more professional atmosphere within our departments for the benefit of the people, our departments, our Chiefs of Police and ourselves. 
​

Accomplishments

The Association has been and is involved in numerous activities for the betterment of law enforcement and community organizations both professionally and personally. 
​Activities have included:
  • The Vera Thomassee/Pat Landry Scholarship in recognition and promotion of the role administrative secretaries play in law enforcement. This annual scholarship of $1000 is presented to a student enrolled in a criminal justice program at an accredited university,junior college or vocational/technical school.
  • annually donates to a non-profit organization within the community where the spring meeting is held. 
  • supports families of officers killed in the line of duty from member agencies. 
  • supports and is supported by the Louisiana Association of Chiefs of Police.
